My Smart Boy...I mean ONE of my smart boys!

I picked Isaac up from preschool this morning and there was an envelope in his cubby written  To:  Mommy, From:  Isaac.  I, of course, ripped into it before we even got down the hallway and I found this little paper.  Isaac had written his name, and his brother's for the first time and wanted to make sure I had it.  I told him we would keep it forever!  He's so smart!!!

Trey's Play

Despite being diagnosed with strep throat the night before, Trey did a FANTASTIC job at his program last night!  His class were the bluebirds.  They were all so cute!

He even had a speaking part...of course, he had failed to mention that to me.  I found out from his teacher 5 minutes before the program started.  He did awesome though!  Made me soooooo proud!!!

Here is the video of my little bluebird.  It's kind of long, but I had a hard time editing out anything.  Did I mention I was proud of him?

Home on a Friday

So while Trey was at school, Isaac, Allie, and me were home having fun.  Trey really hates that!  That's okay, he has fun with his friends at school.  Here's some videos of Isaac and Allie from yesterday.

"D" Date

Sickness rose its ugly head again this week and tried to mess up our "D" date.  Trey came down with a raging case of strep throat so we decided to have a family date (believe it or not, it is very hard to get a babysitter to agree to come sit a child with strep throat.)  We started out with dinner and daquiris.  I thought they were very yummy so I let the kids have a tiny taste.  Trey and Allie liked it but today I asked Isaac if he wanted some Kool-Aid and he told me he did as long as it wasn't the red kool-aid I gave him on our date.  I guess he's not a fan of the strawberry daquiri!  After dinner, we took the whole family to Krispy Kreme to get some of their yummy doughnuts!  We went in and watched the doughnuts go into the oil, and then under the icing and all the way around until they were boxed.  The boys were amazed.  Allie...not so much!  That's okay though, she loved eating them.

A family date was a lot of fun!  A night out with the five of us was just what the doctor ordered...for Trey anyway.  He woke up on Saturday morning feeling 100 times better.  Isaac, on the other hand, is coming down with strep throat as I type.  Maybe a doughnut will cure him too...it's worth a shot.

Let the Sunshine In!!!

Our family is enjoying this beautiful weather so much.  There is nothing as nice as Trey coming home from school, doing his homework while Allie and sometimes Isaac finish up their naps, and then all of us heading outside for the rest of the afternoon!

The neighborhood kids all come outside and play so well together...most of the time.  I love the springtime!!!

Isaac's Day at the Park

My Ozie Wozie
It's been so beautiful that we were able to meet up with a bunch on Isaac's classmates at Martha Rivers Park this past Friday.  They had so much fun playing together.  I'm soooo not ready for it to turn cold again!!  Here are some pictures of their fun day...

Our Little Science Experiment

So, on one of these unseasonably warm days, the boys were out playing in the sandbox.  Trey came in asking me to look at their volcano that they had built, or their "bolcano" as Isaac calls it.  That got the wheels turning in my head.  I remember when I was little, we would make volcanoes in the old tractor tire sandbox we had.  I used to enjoy it so much, I thought that the boys would love to see their volcano "erupt."  We took some water, a few tablespoons of baking soda, and some red food coloring.  We mixed it up, put it in a bottle and buried the bottle in their volcano (leaving the top exposed.)  Then the boys got to take turns pouring vinegar into the bottle, making it spew "lava."  They LOVED it!  I'm not sure exactly when our backyard will stop reaking of vinegar though!
